Seriously people?

So this morning I'm catching the train in to work and everything is normal. I get to Perth train station and to the platform I need to be on to head to subi. As I'm going down the escalator I see a young lad, no older than about 16 or 17 and he's trying to get peoples attention every once and a while.

For the most part he's not speaking loud enough for them to hear and merely gesturing. They can see him, they just choose to ignore him. Not one bloody person stopped to ask him what he was after. I'm starting to walk by and I he hasn't tried to approach me, but I ask anyway. Clearly apparent is that he needs some assistance and that what ever he needs he can't do it himself.

Turns out he was a special needs boy and his shoes had come untied, all he wanted was a little help tying them up again. I think about 4 of the people that ignored him looked over and must have thought I was a nutter, tying some fella's shoes up in the middle of the station. Something clearly evident in their expressions.

Seriously people, get your heads out of your asses...
